The Anda Bridge

The Anda Bridge was the long time dream of the Andanians to have as their link to the mainland of pangasinan. Before, when this bridge was not yet built, traveling to other places especially when you are going outside Anda, you have to wait for the landing barge to cross the Catubig Channel separating Anda to mainland Bolinao. Sometimes it takes hours for the wait especially when there are problems in the engine of the barge or some other aspects that causes delays. I was still a child when this barge exists and for me it was exciting especially when the busses get in and i just wonder how this vessel carries two busses at a time containing several people(lol). This is why progress before in the island was sluggish. This bridge has 9 spans and almost a kilometer in distance. It was inaugurated in 1992 by President Fidel V. Ramos and was considered as the main gate on the fast progress of the island municipality
